1. Cool Idea! The first thing you need is a axel for the rear of the Pinewood derby car. these wheels are normally attached by a nail through the center of the wheel. What you need is a axel that goes accross the back and can be attached with staples to the bottom of the car. You need to hollow out the bottom of the car under the axle to allow for some string to spool onto the axle. Attach the mousetrap to the top facing forward and tie the string to the spring loaded wire.use just enough string to touch the axle when the trap is closed and when you open it wind the string around the axle by rotating the wheels backwards.
