Need help on a pinewood derby?

My son is in cubscouts and we had shaped his pinewood derby into the shape of a skateboard. does anyone know the perfect place to put the wieghts and should I use flat weights?

1. If the car is not thick yes use flat weights. you might put them under the car, when i used flat weights i fitted them under the car.
