Front of pinewood derby car?

My sons pinewood derby is coming up... And I am in a hot debate with my hubby which end of the block of the wood is the front... I say the longer end from axels is the front but my hubby says that is the back.

1. either way will work ,but most will say the longer end from axles is the front. Sorry hubby
