Pinewood Derby Q&A

Where to find pinewood derby kits in bulk? Does anyone have a resource that will sell about 150 to 200 kits (including blocks and wheels) for a good price. I'm researching them as something to send underway on a submarine so I need full kits that will make cars that run as they can't go to the store for more parts. But I don't need the paint or anything to make them pretty. The guys can come up with that stuff on their own.

what is the cub scouts pinewood derby kit rules? the weight limitations

does anybody know where i can get some replacement wheels and axles for pinewood derby cars at a good price? I am looking for some replacement wheels and axles for pinwood derby kits....i can get an entire kit for $2.85 but then i will still have a bunch of blocks of wheels with no wheels....looking for a good price does anybody know where i can get these...the axles i am looking for are not the nails but the long bar axles

With NO rules whatsoever, how would you design a Pinewood Derby car? Our company is having all of its stores design and build a pinewood derby car (starting with the official BSA kit) and then racing them all at its annual manager's meeting. The only rule is, there are no rules. Got any suggestions? The race will be in a standard pinewood derby format. Where they are released from about 4 feet in the air and roll down a slope, it ends in a straight away.

For the webelos/cub scouts Pinewood Derby car race, is the scout supposed to apply sealer to the wood first? Does sealer get applied to the wood car (cutout from the wood block) first, or does the yellow (or green) paint get applied first? Both the color paint and the sealer/paint came in the custom finishing kit. The instructions aren't clear.

Pinewood Derby cars, What is the fastest way to make them? My son has to have his car ready for Monday evening .Aero dynamic, thin, weights as far forward as possible paint, wheels, I got all that, but is there a kit I could use, somewhere other than order online, or at the Boys Scout store. His father was suppose to help, but as always then got too busy. I have to help him and the store isn't open on Sundays. How about Walmart, do they have a kit? I don't know how to cut it to the shape of a truck like he wants. Thank You for all answers
